Meet Laura!
Laura Rutterford is an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist now working in Exeter, with over 16 years of clinical experience in private musculoskeletal (MSK) practice. She qualified from Keele University in 2009 and has been helping people move better and live pain-free ever since.
Now part of the expert team at Quay Kinetics Physio, Laura offers tailored physiotherapy at both the Quay Climbing Centre and Boulder Exe locations. Her work spans hands-on treatment, injury rehabilitation, and personalised movement programmes, always delivered with warmth, clarity, and clinical precision.
Laura has a specialist interest in hip injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, shaped by her own journey through hip surgery. Her passion and leadership in this area earned her the title of “Hip Legend” from the Global Hip Hope Network, recognising her contribution to hip education and support worldwide.

She also has extensive experience in paediatric physiotherapy, supporting children and families living with long-term conditions. For the past three years, she has worked with a leading children’s charity to deliver rehabilitation, education, and ongoing family-centred care.
In addition, Laura is passionate about helping runners prevent injury and perform at their best. She has worked with participants at the National Running Show (NEC Birmingham), delivering pilates, injury support, and practical advice to a wide running audience.
Laura also loves being active through climbing, Pilates, and dog walks.
